Photo Services
Photo Work Room
30 positions are available in this room for photographers to edit and transmit their images. The facilities provided in the workroom include cable televisions, pay phones, lockers, pigeonhole cabinets and billboards. Each work station is equipped with power outlets and broadband internet access. Photo workroom assistants will be working in the Photo Workroom, providing various services including POOL bib allocation according to application, lending locker keys and laptop chain locks, dealing with lost and found affairs etc.
Photo Bib Allocation
1. Photo bibs will be distributed at the Photo Help Desk one day prior to the first competition day, after a briefing.
2. The venue Photo Manager will distribute POOL bibs to the photographers according to the Olympic Games POOL bibs allocation rules.
3. POOL bibs must be returned to the Photo Work Area at end of the day’s competition or when the photographer leaves the venue.
4. The photographers must wear the bibs all the time in the venue. The bibs shall never be transferred.
Photo Positions


1. Dedicated photo positions are allocated at the spectators’ area and around the field of play in the venue. Please refer to the diagram attached.
2. The Photographers can take pictures from any circulation area of the spectator tribunes. They are allowed to occupy any empty spectator seat provided without obstructing the views of other spectators and must vacate the seat immediately when the ticket holder arrives.
3. Each photo position is available on a “first-come, first-serve” basis.
Photo Lockers
1. Photo lockers are provided on the aisle out of the Photo Work Area. No equipment is allowed in the locker overnight.
2. Photo Services team are not liable for the damage or loss of any equipment in the lockers.
Medal Ceremonies
Medal ceremony photo position is operational only during Medal Ceremonies. The venue Photo Manager will guide the photographers to the medal ceremony photo position before the ceremony. When it is finished, the photographers should leave the position immediately with the guide of the venue Photo Manager.
Disk Transport
The photo assistants will collect disks and deliver them to the Photo Work Area and/or Tribunes at regular intervals of each session. This is a one-way service.
Points to Note
•No photographers are allowed in the Athletes Area, VIP Lounge, Doping Control Room and Medical Service Room.
•No photographers are allowed access to the field of play during the competition.
•No electronic flash equipment may be used in the venue.
•The photographers are not allowed to reserve any photo positions using any equipment.
•Tripods are not allowed and the use of monopods is encouraged instead.
•No steps or stepladders are allowed in photo positions.
•Remember: it is not the duty of the photo assistants to take care of the equipment for the photographers.
•Take care of equipment! The organizers have no responsibility for any damage or loss of photo equipment.
•The photographers must wear the bibs all the time and remain seated whenever they are working in the spectators’ area in case they block the views of others.
•Do not walk in front of broadcast cameras and please work with them.
•Please refer to the Photo Team wearing “PHOTO MARSHAL” bibs in the venue for any help.
•This is a NO SMOKING venue.
